2009-02-01

Canada based Indian comedian Sugar Sammy left audiences laughing for quite some time after his show in an evening filled with harmless sarcasm and raptures of laughter throughout. The renowned comedian performed at The Walk at JBR on Saturday, January 31, as part of DSF 2009. The opening act was performed by another renowned comedian, Aaron Kader.

Sammy has been voted the Number 1 comedian in Montreal by readers of the Montreal Mirror, as well as winning Best of Show for the Just For Laughs Festival. He has performed in the US, England, Ireland, Holland, Hong Kong, Thailand, the Philippines and South Africa. His 2007 one man show in South Africa had ticket sales topping 10,000, and he has stated his opening for Dave Chappelle in the fall of 2006 as a personal career highlight.
